Y'all, it finally feels like fall in Tennessee! I was really getting tired of the "hot enough to go sleeveless but not hot enough to lay out and tan" weather (yes I just made that up but you get it)! There are a lot of different trends happening this fall and I gotta be honest, they're kind of weird! White booties? Mom Jeans? And yet I want them all. I almost feel like I'm breaking all kinds of fashion rules with these trends but that's what makes them so great.
So break all the fashion rules this season. Wear white booties even though its after Labor Day. Spend money on a pair of jeans that look like yours mom's from high school but covered with holes. Feel sexy in a lace satin top and don't give a damn about what anyone says. I can't wait to fully embrace all of these trends this season, especially white booties!
Have a great week you guys! It's a busy one for me, but I wouldn't want it any other way :)
Just because it's fall, doesn't mean that only sweaters are allowed. Don't get me wrong, I love a good oversized sweater but it's still hot as h-e-double hockey stick here and I just cant bring myself to wear them yet. This top is the cutest top for transitioning into fall. The cut-out shoulder detail with a high neck is extremely flattering and adds a little sexiness to the top. It's perfect for a night out with friends, date night, or even a fun work top! It also comes in two colors and is only $22!
I asked you all on Instagram to send me any questions you had for me, so here are the most frequently asked questions!
I'm still looking for the "perfect" foundation, but two of my favorite are Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation and Maybelline Fit Me for a drugstore foundation. Lately I've been wearing Fit Me in 220 because I'm in-between colors! If you all would like to see a foundation review of all the ones Ive tried, just shoot my an email and let me know!
Are you still in school?
No! I graduated in May 2017 and finished school in three years! I was able to graduate early because I took so many college courses in high school and took summer classes all through college. I'm now trying to "adult" the best I can haha.
Is blogging hard?
This questions always brings me back to why I started my blog, for fun. I wanted to start a blog because I love fashion, beauty and everything in between and I wanted to share that with people! Blogging is more work than you would think, and I only blog about once a week! If you're wanting to turn your blog into a business, then it definitely takes a lot of work. Some bloggers are constantly working on growing their blog, working with brands, doing photoshoots, etc. I however am not at that point in my life where I can put that much time in my blog. So for now, I will continue to blog for fun. That way, it's stress free!
How long have you been dating your boyfriend/did you meet in school?
Three years! We are from the same city and have known each other for a long time. We started dating once I started college.
Where is your favorite place to shop?
Nordstrom. Hands down. It has everything you could need and more and they also carry all of my favorite brands!
What mascara do you use?
Better Than Sex by Too Faced! I swear by it. Nothing compares!
Is blogging what you want to do as a career/where do I work?
I work for The University of Tennessee's Athletic Broadcasting, VFL Films. I' working towards my goal of being a sports broadcaster and one day becoming a sideline reporter for a major network! I would love for my blog to become almost like a part-time job. I think it would be awesome to incorporate my love of fashion into my love of sports!
